Another Care Package off to Any Soldier!

Since I have so much fun finding deals and bargains out there, I try to return the love by sending at least one care package every 3 months to Any Soldier. Isabella and I have a great time picking out a unit to "take care of" and they make it quite easy as there is always a list of wants and needs. Since our last unit has returned home since our last care package, we had fun picking a new unit, this one also from Arizona. We are also partial to picking Marines (seeing as John is a Marine) and I like to pick female units because, well, I bet being the mothers and daughters and sisters, they are the least taken care of, since the women are the ones usually sending the care packages! Anyway, this is a great program if you want to help out. It's easy, fun, and makes a difference in someone's life. BTW, since I made this a game at my first Bargain Bootcamp, I will share the bargain-related information here too. the retail value of this care package was $84.72 and the actual OOP cost was only $8.04 (plus shipping, which is $15.00ish for flat rate box to Armed Forces). So, the impact is huge for our troops, but the cost is minimal to us here at home.

It's Clearance Time at Target

The Baby Clearance has started. If you are having a baby, or know someone who is, it is definitely worth it to check out target for some awesome prices on everything you need for baby! Below is a list of what you could find. Remember, clearance prices/dates and inventory varies by store. In the list below, you will find the name of the item, the clearance price, and the DCPI #, which you can use to see which stores might have the item. The phrase "Limited Availablity" usually means it is clearanced. sThe DCPI checker is on the Target website. Leave a comment if you need help with this.

Things to watch for at Target

There are pool totes on clearance – and there is a $2.00 off beach tote Target Q the one I saw yesterday was on clearance for 9.48 – so 7.48 after Q.  Not a deal for me, but if you need a pool tote it might be right up your alley.

There are Sonia Kashuk make-up brush sets on sale from 7.48-17.48 on clearance.  Pairs well with the $1.00 of Target Q.  Again, not a good enough deal for me yet, but if you need new make up brushes, might be good for you! As always, clearance finds vary by store and don't forget to check the end-caps.

There are many bikini’s on clearance as well.  There is a $5 off a top and bottom Target Q – may make for a deal if you are looking for a bikini

Staples $3 coupon: Think School Supply Lists!

I'm already thinking ahead for fall and the mile-long school supply lists. Here's one way to cut the costs of those items. I plan on using the $3 coupon for individual purchases of items on our lists.

Go here and find your store.  Then click on "Weekly Ad"  and then you'll see a red box on the left side of the screen that says "A Special Offer for You and All your Friends".  Click on that and the coupon will appear with the name and address of your store on the right side of the page.
